Small Block Ford 351C Street/Strip Distributor with Vacuum Advance FC-2005
This RTR distributor has a built in module for easy installation with a simple three wire hookup, no need to run an external ignition control box. This is the prefect distributor for a crate engine or when replacing an old points style distributor. The compact bowl design and screw down cap fits into locations where a larger distributor will not.
Featuring a 6061-T6 machined aluminum body has o-ring grooves for use in a fully machined engine block. The centerless ground shaft rides on an upper sealed roller bearing with an extra-long lower bronze oil-lite bushing for smoother operation at high RPM and long life.
The fully adjustable mechanical advance is welded to the top of the shaft for easy access and is plated to reduce friction and prevent corrosion for long term durability. For street economy, the Vacuum Canister is fully adjustable to set for best performance. A high output magnetic pickup and large paddle wheel reluctor provide a strong trigger signal at high RPMs. The Melonized iron distributor drive gear ensures long service life. Both cap and rotor are molded in high quality 30% glass filled polyester (PBT) that offers both high impact and dielectric strength while resisting carbon tracking. The cap contacts are brass and the rotor spring is stainless steel for long term mechanical conductivity.
